Item Details
Hand cut, shaped and polished, then individually painted, these wooden stud earrings are sustainable, unique, light, and extremely wearable. They would make a great gift for someone, or just a treat for yourself! Let's face it, we all deserve frequent pick-me-ups these days. Earrings are my personal favourite.
DETAILS

All my jewellery is made to a high standard, and will happily deal with a drop of rain, but please don't wear it in the shower - wood and water are not the best of friends! Also do your best to keep it away from perfumes and cosmetics.

BIANCA ROSE WOOD
It’s easy to feel good about wearing jewellery made from recycled wood. Smaller pieces of this wonderful material are so often thrown away, all of the beautiful woods I use were rescued from waste of one kind or another, many from my past life as a furniture maker. Cutting and shaping each pair by hand brings a special quality to the shape and feel of the jewellery, and allows me to produce very little waste in the process.
The wood I've used for this pair is beautiful golden English oak, a favourite of mine and in this case offcuts from some reclaimed church pews I repurposed into a pair of lecterns for a local church a few years ago.
Wood by its very nature has infinite variations of pattern and tone, making each and every pair of earrings completely unique. Add hand painted detail and there you go, jewellery as individual as the person wearing it.
The painting in blues and white complements the golden wood really nicely. It reminds some people of the sea, others of snowy mountains. Does it take you back to somewhere special you have been?
