Gold Leaf Mini Triangle Necklace
I hand make these tiny recycled wood necklaces in my studio in Bristol. They are made from recycled Jarrah, an Australian hardwood which spent about 50 years serving as the deck of Brunel's SS Great Britain.
Each one is indivudually cut and shaped, then marked with an indented line and gilded to create a simple yet striking geometric pendant. The 22 carat gold leaf I use is recycled 'skewings' - the little pieces brushed off during the gilding process.
The wood measures approximately 25mm long and 10mm wide, and hangs from a 45cm recycled sterling silver chain.
The wood is finished with a beeswax and olive oil polish, made locally and ethically in small batches.
All my work is made to a high standard and it won't mind a drop of rain, but please don't wear it in the bath or shower, and keep it well clear of perfumes and cosmetics.
